Educational Resources for Primary and Secondary Education

FuseNet (The European Fusion Education Network) has developed a range of educational materials tailored for both primary and secondary schools. These resources aim to equip teachers with engaging and comprehensive tools to introduce students to the fascinating world of nuclear fusion and broader scientific concepts.

Here, you can find these educational materials, including books, courses, experiments, materials for educators, multimedia, and theses.

Primary Education

In this section, you can find educational resources designed to raise awareness not only about nuclear fusion but also about the scientific method, sustainable development, and the human ability to dream.

The package contains three one-hour educational units in English that schoolteachers can use to work with 10 to 12-year-old pupils and promote science education. Each unit consists of a lesson plan, a PowerPoint presentation, and a student sheet.

These resources are designed to make science education accessible, engaging, and fun for students of all ages.

Secondary Education

This section provides secondary school teachers with all the tools required to teach nuclear fusion in fun and engaging lessons.

Five modules are provided that contain a general introduction to nuclear fusion. Each of these modules consists of a student reader, lecture slides, a teacher’s manual, and additional exercises.

Note: As part of the FusionCAT project, the first module was translated into Catalan. This module entitled “Aspectes bàsics de la Fusió” can be found at the following link.
