From 3 to 4 December, Dani Gallart, a member of our group, and Andrés Román, Innovation Manager, represented BSC at the Big Science Industry Forum Spain (BSIFS25). This Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities initiative reinforces Spain’s commitment to science and highlights its leadership in developing an innovative ecosystem at the forefront of the knowledge economy. The forum aims to showcase the exceptional potential of Spain’s large-scale scientific infrastructures and the talent that drives them.
The event featured two intense days of high-level talks and discussions focused on fusion science and technology, highlighting both ongoing progress and future opportunities. During the forum, Dani and Andrés held 20+ networking meetings, engaging with stakeholders from research centres, industry, and public institutions.
These interactions provided valuable insights into the rapidly growing Spanish industrial ecosystem around fusion, and helped strengthen connections between scientific research and industrial development; an essential step towards advancing fusion energy and its technological applications.
We are looking forward to follow-up editions of BSIFS and to building further on the momentum created by this first successful event.
