Located\u00a0\u00a0in Bologna, Italy, CINECA hosts <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.euro-fusion.org\/2016\/09\/a-computing-power-house-to-start-in-italy\">Marconi-Fusion<\/a><\/strong>, the new European High Performance Computer for fusion applications\u00a0which was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cineca.it\/it\/video\/eurofusion-marconi\">inaugurated<\/a> on 14 September 2016.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mervi<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Mantsinen<\/strong> is\u00a0a\u00a0member of the <em>EUROfusion HPC\u00a0Allocation Committee<\/em> which met at CINECA to evaluate the\u00a0Cycle 1 proposals\u00a0for Marconi-Fusion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week\u00a0our Fusion Group Leader Dr Mervi Mantsinen visited the largest Italian computing centre, CINECA.
