Image credit: IFMIF-DONES<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From 28 to 30 January, our group leader<strong> Mervi Mantsinen<\/strong> attended the <strong>32<sup>nd<\/sup> European Fusion Programme Workshop in Granada, Spain<\/strong>. More than a hundred experts in fusion physics and technology took part and shared their progress and visions within the European Fusion Programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>This year&#8217;s theme was <em>&#8220;Nuclear Engineering and Physics for Fusion Power Plants&#8221;<\/em>,<\/strong> and key topics included <em>&#8220;Materials Testing&#8221;<\/em>, <em>&#8220;Fuel Cycle and Shelter&#8221;<\/em>, <em>&#8220;Fusion Reactor Life Cycle and Safety&#8221;<\/em> and <em>&#8220;Towards Fusion Power Plants&#8221;<\/em>. Image credit: IFMIF-DONES.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop started with a welcome and presentations by the Director of the IFMIF-DONES Espa\u00f1a Consortium, <strong>Angel Ibarra Sanchez<\/strong>, and the DONES Programme Manager, <strong>Philippe Cara<\/strong> from Fusion for Energy.
