I\u2019m <strong>Diego Bonato<\/strong>, and I have joined the Fusion group to carry out my master\u2019s thesis! <strong>My internship will last 6 months<\/strong>, from September 2024 to March 2025, and it\u2019s funded by FuseNet. I will be supervised by <strong>Alejandro Soba<\/strong> and <strong>Eduardo Cabrera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During my stay at BSC, I will be working on <strong>the development of a Deep Learning model to accelerate the solution of Maxwell\u2019s equations in the context of High Temperature Superconductors (HTS) simulations<\/strong>. This tool will help improve the performance of <a href=\"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/index.php\/2024\/03\/25\/unveiling-the-power-of-magnet-for-hts-simulation\/\">MAGNET<\/a>, a package developed in the Fusion group, which simulates HTS in various scenarios. This will be crucial to study the next generation of fusion reactors.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I\u2019m very happy to have found a friendly and supportive environment here, and I\u2019m looking forward to bringing my contribution to the group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am currently a M.Sc. student in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/en\/educational-offer\/master-s-degrees\/school-of-science?tipo=LM&amp;scuola=SC&amp;ordinamento=2018&amp;key=SC2443\">Physics of Data at the University of Padova<\/a> (Italy). This master\u2019s degree combines advanced studies in Physics with high-level training in scientific computing and machine learning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Fusion group has always been actively involved in training the future generation of scientists and offers a wide variety of projects suitable for summer internships, master\u2019s theses, or PhDs.
