These include, but are not limited to, numerical simulations for Fusion physics, technology and materials in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Energy and particle transport<\/li>\n<li>Multi-physics and Multi-scale analyses and modelling<\/li>\n<li>Turbulence and related transport processes<\/li>\n<li>Hydrodynamics, including linear, nonlinear and\/or extended MHD<\/li>\n<li>Plasma instabilities<\/li>\n<li>Edge and plasma-material interactions<\/li>\n<li>Heating, fueling and current drive<\/li>\n<li>Laser-plasma interactions<\/li>\n<li>Fast particle physics and burning plasma issues<\/li>\n<li>Scenario development and control<\/li>\n<li>Materials under irradiation<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear fuel cycle systems analysis (Tritium modelling)<\/li>\n<li>Deterministic, Monte Carlo and hybrid methods developments<\/li>\n<li>System Analyses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop\u2019s <strong>language will be in English<\/strong>, and it will be <strong>open to all<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>We invite you to submit your work as an invited or contributed presentation to this workshop. <\/strong>The<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/abstract\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">abstract submission<\/a><\/strong> opened on June 10, 2024, and <strong>will close on September 15, 2024 at 1pm CEST.<\/strong> More information can be found in our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/abstract\/\">Abstract Submissions<\/a><\/strong> page.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the success of last year, <strong>early career scientists will once again have the opportunity to receive feedback from expert reviewers and qualify for the recognition we give to outstanding presentations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Similar to the process for last year\u2019s Special Issue in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion journal, <strong>selected presentations will be invited, by mutual agreement, to submit a journal paper after the workshop to a special issue published in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/special%20issue%20on%20high%20performance%20supercomputing%20(hpc)%20in%20fusion%20research%202022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (IOP)<\/strong>.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For <strong>more information<\/strong> please visit the workshop website <strong><a class=\"moz-txt-link-freetext\" href=\"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/\">https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are looking forward to welcoming you to the workshop!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is our pleasure to host the 5th Fusion HPC Workshop as an online event on November 21-22, 2024.
