Our Fusion group member Carles Riera<\/strong> took part in the PlasmaSurf Summer School 2016<\/strong><\/a>, held in Oeiras (Portugal) from 10-15 July, 2016. There he had a chance to learn about Plasma Physics and Lasers from several professors lecturing at Instituto de Plasmas e Fusao Nuclear<\/a>.<\/p>\n Apart from the theoretical classes and various outdoor activities, the students had the chance to visit the ISTTOK <\/a>tokamak and the Laboratory for Intense Lasers.<\/p>\n Carles explained: “It was a fantastic experience, both academically and personally<\/em>. I had the chance to learn about Plasma Physics while at the same time meeting people from all around the world. In fact, the cultural exchange was one of the best parts of that week.
