Spong<\/a><\/strong> from<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ornl.gov\/\"> Oak Ridge National Laboratory<\/a><\/strong> (USA) during his visit to Barcelona Supercomputing Center\u00a0from the 1st to the 6th of July 2016.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">During his stay he\u00a0gave a\u00a0lecture entitled\u00a0<em>&#8216;Alfven spectra and energetic particle driven instabilities in 3D configurations&#8217;<\/em> and\u00a0collaborated with\u00a0our PhD student <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsc.es\/es\/about-bsc\/staff-directory\/rakha-allah\">Allah Rakha<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on <b>3D simulations of Alfvenic instabilities<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our fusion research group was delighted to host Dr Donald A.
