It is the largest annual conference in the field of plasma physics and controlled fusion in Europe.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">We\u00a0presented our recent research in a total of three contributions as lead authors:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ocs.ciemat.es\/EPS2016PAP\/pdf\/O5.125.pdf\"><em>Non-linear MHD Simulations of Pellet Triggered ELMs in JET and ASDEX Upgrade tokamaks<\/em><\/a> by S. <strong>Futatani<\/strong> et al.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ocs.ciemat.es\/EPS2016PAP\/pdf\/P2.003.pdf\"><em>Simulations of combined ICRF and NBI heating for high fusion performance in JET<\/em><\/a> by D<strong>. Gallart<\/strong> et al.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ocs.ciemat.es\/EPS2016PAP\/pdf\/P1.035.pdf\"><em>Third harmonic ICRF heating of deuterium beam ions on ASDEX Upgrade<\/em><\/a> by M.J.<strong> Mantsinen<\/strong> et al.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-739\" src=\"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/EPS2016-400x225.jpg\" alt=\"EPS2016\" width=\"750\" height=\"421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/EPS2016-400x225.jpg 400w, https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/EPS2016-1024x575.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Furthermore, we are<strong> coauthors of the invited paper by J. Garcia<\/strong> et al., entitled <em>&#8220;Challenges in the extrapolation from DD to DT plasmas: experimental analysis and theory based predictions&#8221;<\/em>, which has been submitted for publication in a Special issue in <a href=\"http:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/journal\/0741-3335\">Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Our Fusion group leader <b>Mervi Mantsinen<\/b> also <strong>chaired one of the sessions<\/strong> of the meeting, which further boosted our visibility at the Conference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0BSC Fusion group has\u00a0attended this week, from 4 to 8 July 2016,\u00a0 the 43rd European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics in Leuven, Belgium.
