Their presentation on <em>Recent advances in large-scale atomistic materials modeling at Barcelona Supercomputer Center<\/em> was well received. The meeting was organized by Prof. Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Caturla at the<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ua.es\/en\/\"> University of Alicante<\/a><\/strong>, Spain.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Materials research is a key topic for the European and worldwide fusion research programme as the technological feasibility of fusion energy depends on the availability of materials that are capable of withstanding the operational conditions of fusion reactors.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><!--more--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 7-9, the BSC researchers Georg Huhs, Stephan Mohr and Mervi Mantsinen from the CASE department participated in\u00a0a EUROfusion meeting on fusion materials.
