The 3rd BSC International Doctoral Symposium<\/strong> organized by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center\u00a0will\u00a0be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May<\/strong>.\u00a0 This event is mainly focused on PhD and Postdoc students\u00a0who are given an opportunity to\u00a0show their research work and share their ideas with a broad audience.<\/p>\n

Divided in poster sessions and talks, the event promotes the communication between the participants, who normally have different backgrounds, facilitating the interest and learning of other research topics.<\/p>\n

This year the Fusion group\u00a0will participate with two extended abstracts written by the group members Albert Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong> and Dani Gallart<\/strong>. Their contributions are entitled “Reproducing crowd turbulence with Verlet integration and agent modeling”<\/em> and “Extrapolations of the fusion performance in JET”<\/em>. Moreover, other members of the group, Felipe Nathan de Oliveira<\/strong> and Carles Riera<\/strong> are organizer volunteers of the event.<\/em><\/p>\n
