PION is an Ion Cyclotron Range of Frequencies (ICRF) heating code which is widely used in our group and the European fusion community to model the power deposition of the launched electromagnetic waves in the plasma. IMAS stands for the ITER <strong>Integrated Modeling &amp; Analysis Suit<\/strong>. This is a software infrastructure that the fusion community is developing at ITER to allow and ease the integrated modelling, that is the simultaneous and self-consistent calculations between the different codes that model a fusion experiment.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Severo Ochoa Mobility Program<\/strong> at BSC allows researchers to travel and work <em>in situ<\/em> with the collaborators of the project. This eases the communication between researchers and helps to boost the project in many ways.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During his stay at ITER, Ignacio worked with <strong>Dr. Mireille Schneider<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Simon Pinches<\/strong> who are experts in plasmas and integrated modelling. During this period Ignacio took profit of working with these scientists to learn and improve his work with the integration of PION in IMAS, fixing and upgrading several features.
