Our focus was in <strong>on-site preparation, execution and first analysis of two sessions<\/strong> of the experiment <strong>M18-05 <em>\u201cICRH scenario support in D and T plasmas\u201d <\/em><\/strong>for which Mervi is one of the two scientific coordinators. This means that she is in charge of the scientific planning of this experiment and the coordination of its international <strong>team of approximately 45 scientists<\/strong> from various institutions all over Europe.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4145\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4145\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4145\" src=\"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/thumbnail-400x147.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/thumbnail-400x147.jpg 400w, https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/thumbnail-1024x375.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/thumbnail.jpg 1574w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4145\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Team members focused in the analysis of the new experimental data between plasma discharges in the JET control room during the M18-05 sessions last Thursday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the present JET campaign, experiment M18-05 is allocated a total of six experimental sessions. The two sessions on Thursday were dedicated to the characterization of <strong><sup>3<\/sup>He minority heating<\/strong> using waves in the ion cyclotron range of frequencies in high-performance plasmas. Overall, the sessions went very well, <strong>achieving a total of 18 successful plasma discharges with up to 5 MW of ICRF power and 24 MW of NBI<\/strong>.
