Both internships are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsc.es\/join-us\/excellence-career-opportunities\/bsc-international-summer-hpc-internship-programme\"><strong>BSC International Summer HPC Internship Programme<\/strong><\/a> aims to encourage students to start a research career in our multidisciplinary research center. The <strong>Severo Ochoa award<\/strong> funds this Programme.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Marta works to expand the features and capabilities of\u00a0 the Ion-Cyclotron-Resonance-Frequency (ICRF) Heating code PION<\/strong>. These new features will be needed to simulate a series of recent experiments carried out at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipp.mpg.de\/16195\/asdex\"><strong>ASDEX-Upgrade tokamak<\/strong><\/a>, located at Max-Plank&#8217;s Institut f\u00fcr Plasmaphysik (IPP), which were proposed by our group leader <strong>Mervi Mantsinen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Adam<\/strong> focuses his project on the future deuterium tritium (D-T) campaign at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euro-fusion.org\/devices\/jet\/\">JET<\/a> envisaged for 2020.
