{"id":3802,"date":"2019-05-24T17:20:26","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T15:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/?p=3802"},"modified":"2019-05-28T15:10:18","modified_gmt":"2019-05-28T13:10:18","slug":"rf-topical-conference-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/index.php\/2019\/05\/24\/rf-topical-conference-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"RF Topical Conference 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_3833\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3833\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3833\" src=\"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/image823-e1559048926139.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/image823-e1559048926139.png 1000w, https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/image823-e1559048926139-400x211.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3833\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">2019 Radio Frequency Power in Plasmas Conference participants.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many colleagues from the radio-frequency power in plasmas (RFPP) community travelled to Hefei (China) last week (14<sup>th<\/sup> to 17<sup>th<\/sup> May) in order to attend the <a href=\"http:\/\/meeting.ipp.ac.cn\/rfppc2019\/index.html\"><strong>23<sup>rd<\/sup> edition of the RFPP Conference<\/strong>.<\/a> This conference tackles several aspects, from the engineering design of new antennas to the physics of the waves propagating inside a fusion plasma.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The conference opening consisted of a warm <strong>welcome speech given by Dr. Yuntao Song<\/strong> and followed by the<strong> review talk carried out by Prof. Jean-Marie Noterdaeme<\/strong> who gave an overview of the advances in the RFPP community throughout several decades. After that, invited talks and poster sessions showed that the<strong> work carried out by the community is relevant to perform present experiments in different fusion devices<\/strong> and, in particular, for the next DT campaign at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euro-fusion.org\/devices\/jet\/\">JET<\/a>.\u00a0 Our Fusion group member <strong>Dani Gallart showed our latest results on RF heating for the next T and DT campaigns at JET<\/strong> with a work entitled <em>&#8220;Modelling of ICRF heating for JET T and DT plasmas&#8221;<\/em> to be published in AIP.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3803\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3803\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3803\" src=\"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/image2-e1558710894476.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"457\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">D.
