{"id":2745,"date":"2018-04-20T12:49:35","date_gmt":"2018-04-20T10:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/?p=2745"},"modified":"2018-04-20T12:49:35","modified_gmt":"2018-04-20T10:49:35","slug":"delivering-hpc-results-to-eurofusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/index.php\/2018\/04\/20\/delivering-hpc-results-to-eurofusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Delivering HPC results to EUROfusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2742\" src=\"http:\/\/fusion.bsc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/ipp_garch.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 12th April 2018, our Fusion group member <strong>Xavier S\u00e1ez<\/strong> visited the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipp.mpg.de\/\">Max-Planck-Institut f\u00fcr Plasmaphysik<\/a><\/strong>, Garching, Germany, to participate in the meeting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efda-hlst.eu\/\">EUROfusion High Level Support Team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Xavier<\/strong> presented the completed work performed to improve the performance of <strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/github.com\/feltor-dev\/feltor\">FELTOR<\/a> <\/strong>(Full-F ELectromagnetic code in TORoidal geometry), which is both a numerical library and a scientific software package built on top of it.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>High Level Support Team provides support to scientists from all Research Units of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euro-fusion.org\/\">EUROfusion<\/a> consortium<\/strong> for the development and optimization of codes to be used on supercomputers.
