The program aims at enhancing partnerships between\u00a0BSC\u00a0and other institutions\u00a0through grants for ongoing and incoming researchers.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During his two-week stay at BSC,<strong> Dr. Hauke Doerk<\/strong> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/ipp.mpg.de\/\">Max Planck Institute of Plasma Physics (IPP, Germany)<\/a> collaborated with our group <strong>in the field of nonlinear electromagnetic microturbulence stabilization by fast ions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our\u00a0second visitor was <b>Dr. Donald Spong<\/b> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ornl.gov\">Oak Ridge National Laboratory,<\/a> USA. His visit\u00a0brought forward\u00a0our collaboration on the <strong>modelling of Alfven eigenmodes in three-dimensional magnetic geometries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The results of our collaborations\u00a0will be presented at the forthcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qub.ac.uk\/sites\/eps2017\/\">European Physical Society Conference Plasma Physics<\/a><\/strong>, that will\u00a0take place\u00a0in Belfast\u00a0 at the end of June, and the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.astro.auth.gr\/~eftc17\/Homepage.html\">Fusion Theory Conference<\/a><\/strong> in Athens in October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We acknowledge the support given by the Severo Ochoa mobility grants to strengthen these collaborations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past couple of weeks, our\u00a0Fusion group\u00a0has counted with the visits of two Fusion Scientists from United States and Germany under the Severo Ochoa mobility program of Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).
